Soirée de travail du métal pour les personnes queer et racialisées:

Tout au long de l’année à venir, notre atelier sera réservé chaque troisième jeudi du mois à des rencontres destinées aux personnes queer et racialisées.

Parce que le travail du métal peut parfois être dissuasif ou excluant, ces moments ont pour objectif de se réapproprier les outils, les savoirs et l’espace, tout en créant collectivement dans un cadre bienveillant.

L’atelier sera ouvert et accompagné par Negar Nakhai, artiste interdisciplinaire et ancien·ne membre de notre équipe technique, qui offrira un soutien technique au besoin.

Que ce soit pour découvrir l’atelier pour la première fois, poser vos questions, avancer sur vos projets personnels, tisser des liens avec d’autres membres ou simplement partager un moment ensemble, vous êtes les bienvenu·e·s.

Infos pratiques

  • Combien ? L’accès à l’atelier est à contribution volontaire (PWYC). Quelques matériaux et consommables disponibles à prix réduit.
  • Quand ? Chaque troisième jeudi du mois, de 17h à 21h

La capacité étant limitée à 10 personnes, nous vous invitons à remplir un court formulaire Google afin de réserver votre place.

Throughout the coming year, our shop will be reserved every third Thursday of the month for a gathering for queer and racialized people.

Because working with metal can sometimes feel intimidating or exclusionary, these sessions are meant to reclaim metalworking tools, knowledge, and space, while creating together in a supportive environment.

The shop will be open and led by Negar Nakhai, an interdisciplinary artist and former member of our technical team, who will provide technical assistance if needed.

Whether you want to discover the studio for the first time, ask questions, work on personal projects, connect with other members, or simply enjoy spending time together, you are welcome to join us.

Practical Info

  • Cost: Shop access is pay-what-you-can (PWYC). Some materials and consumables are available for purchase at a discounted rate.
  • When: Every third Thursday of the month, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Where: 1900 Rue Le Ber, Studio 205, Montreal

Capacity is limited to 10 people, so we encourage you to fill out a short Google form to reserve your spot.
